Precision scoring for pharmaceutical leaflet folding

A patient information leaflet is a folding job with no margin for error. Thin stock, a dozen panels, folded down to fit a carton not much bigger than a matchbox, and a regulated document at the end of it. A torn score or a wandering fold is not a quality complaint, it is a rejected batch.

The steel scoring collars folders come with were never made for this work. They are abrasive on lightweight leaflet stock, and they cannot press a score deep enough for highly-folded material without tearing it. So operators nurse the machine, the line crawls, and the wrinkles still creep into the folds.
