Signatures, coupons, tickets and order forms often need a tear-off perforation running right up against the fold — sometimes as little as 5mm away. Producing a clean, almost-invisible perf that close to a crease while still folding accurately is genuinely difficult on a folding machine: most set-ups either can't place the perf near enough, distort the fold, or leave a ragged tear line on coated, laminated or digital stocks.
How it works
How the CP Applicator works
The CP Applicator pairs the crease and the perf on one set-up. It uses Easy-Fit creasing ribs to guarantee accurate folding, with precision-cut 17, 25 and 52 tpi micro-perf blades running on specially designed nylon perfing sleeves that hold precise kiss-cutting tolerances. A special cassette houses the creasing ribs, and an adaptable set of spacer rings dictates the exact distance from each blade to the crease — so you can run 1 crease + 2 perfs, a single crease and perf, or any combination you need.
An in-built colour-coding system simplifies setting, with colour-coded creasing ribs to match different grades of stock, and the adaptable spacer rings let you place the micro-perforations anywhere from 5mm to 50mm from the crease. The device also offers three crease options, adjustable nylon perfing sleeves, and a recessed, reversible design for flexible set-ups.
