Inline rotary creasing for web-fed presses — at full production speed, no compromise.
Technicrease brings Tech-ni-Fold's globally-patented rotary creasing system to the web-fed sector for the first time — a creasing cassette that runs inline at the full speed of your press or converting line, eliminating fibre cracking on stocks up to 450gsm without ever slowing production.
Inline creasing on narrow- and mid-web printing, converting and finishing lines — folding cartons, sleeves, leaflets, presentation folders, book covers and high-output packaging, from lightweight label stock to carton board.

The problem
The problem we solve
On web-fed presses and converting lines, heavier and coated stocks crack along the fold — and until now there was no way to crease inline at full web speed. The only options were to slow the line, add an offline pass, or accept fibre cracking on the finished work.
How it works
How the Technicrease works
Technicrease operates inline at the full production speed of your web-fed press or converting line, with no compromise on performance even when applying multiple crease lines. It can apply several crease lines in a single pass — and crease in both directions: by swapping the creasing and receiving bands between shafts you produce upward or downward creases, or combine both in one pass, opening up Z-folds, reverse folds and complex carton layouts without slowing the line.
Technicrease is sized to your exact web width and retrofits onto a wide range of presses with no electrics, software or shaft matching — compatible with Mark Andy, MPS, Edale, Gallus, AB Graphic, Nilpeter, Bobst, Domino and Omet across web widths from roughly 200mm to 1450mm, whether you run flexo, hybrid or digital.
Fifteen defined crease settings give maximum flexibility to match the depth and style any substrate needs, and the creasing bands are colour-coded for quick visual selection without tools or complex settings. There are five colour-coded band ranges by paper weight — White (60–150gsm), Orange (80–180gsm), Blue (150–280gsm), Yellow (250–350gsm) and Black (350–450gsm) — each pairing a male profile (from ultra-soft for fragile digital stocks to ultra-rigid for structural board) with a female receiving channel, including digital-tolerance channels that absorb and protect fragile coatings.

Runs at full web speed — inline at the full production speed of your press or converting line, with no slowing or interruption, even across multiple crease lines.
Eliminates fibre cracking — the proven rotary creasing principle gives a clean, consistent finish on digital, offset and coated stocks up to 450gsm.
Fully mechanical, zero power required — no motors, software, electronics or shaft matching. Technicrease integrates inline as a self-contained mechanical unit and retrofits onto all leading narrow- and mid-web brands, modular and legacy lines alike, with a quick, clean installation.
Built to order, made to fit — each system is manufactured in the UK for your specific machine, web width and press configuration, with the cassette, creasing shafts and mounting hardware tailored to bolt seamlessly onto your existing line.
Instant stock changeover — an integrated calliper lets the operator simply insert a small piece of the stock to auto-calibrate the perfect shaft gap. No tools, no guesswork, minimal downtime.
Apply multiple creases without speed loss — several crease lines in a single pass, ideal for folding cartons, sleeves and high-output finishing.

What printers say
“We received the Spine-Creaser attachment this morning and it went right in without any problems. The before and after on the cover spines is so dramatic that everyone from our sales department is floored!”
“We had a difficult job and the outside looked great but the inside was flaking. I ordered a new Tri-Creaser Advance, was so impressed, I ordered two more the next day. They really work great. We delivered that job on time and it saved us from getting a letterpress score and missing a deadline.”
“When a new creasing tool was needed for the cover feeder of our Muller Martini binding machine, we turned to Tech-ni-Fold. We were utterly amazed when we tried the adjustable version of the Quad Creaser — it had colour-coded ribs that corresponded to different crease styles, and it further improved the quality of covers using our own special side-gluing "spineless" method. Not only does the system eliminate fibre-cracking, it also minimises the reset force of the cover. The Quad Creaser has allowed Kosel to raise its own quality standards for bound products.”
“We installed your Quad-Creaser system into 3 of our binding lines after seeing it at a book show. The OEM scoring system has a swap time of around 4 hours for a single engineer, whereas your system can have a full change in under 10 minutes once installed. As your creasing rings last around 800,000 covers, that's one change per month — and the change is now an operator task with rings held in stock, rather than ordering OEM parts and waiting for an engineer. We change from 2-score to 4-score several times a day, and your system does it in half the time of the OEM system.”
For digital printers
Built for digital print finishing
Dedicated soft digital male profiles and forgiving digital-tolerance female channels protect fragile toner and coatings from surface cracking — so digitally-printed web work creases as cleanly as offset.
Versions & fitting
Technicrease versions
An optional Spine & Hinge module adapts Technicrease for print-finishing work such as perfect-bound book covers, enabling multiple crease positions with absolute alignment — making it ideal for value-added finishing in book, booklet and cover production.
Technicrease isn't limited to creasing. Optional modules mount on the same tooling shafts: a kiss-cutting module — a precision blade in a holding collar that applies an ultra-accurate kiss-cut into label and greeting-card stock, with several kiss-cut devices fittable at once — and a micro-perforating module producing fine, flat perforations at 17, 25 or 52 tpi for order forms, vouchers, tickets and tent cards. With the optional spine & hinge module as well, one cassette covers crease, kiss-cut and perf inline across substrates from 65gsm web stock up to 460-micron box board.
Risk-free
The Tech-ni-Fold five-tier risk-free guarantee — no one in the industry offers anything as powerful: 1. If our products are not as easy to use as we say, and don't save you hours of time, send them back for a full refund. 2. If our creasing products do not eliminate fibre cracking on materials from 85–350gsm, send them back for a full refund. 3. If after three whole months you are not satisfied for any reason — or no reason at all — send them back for a full refund. 4. If after 12 months the product hasn't saved you more than five times its cost, return it for a full refund (just photograph it on your machine first to show you tried it). 5. Every product carries a full 3-year workmanship guarantee — if a device malfunctions in any way in the first three years, we replace it immediately at no cost.
